Her obituary appeared in The Gastonia Gazette on Friday, August 22, 1913.

Death of Mrs. Brown.

Mrs. L. B. Brown died Tuesday at her home in the Bethel section of York County after a brief illness.  Funeral services were conducted at the home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. Dr. Robert Adams, pastor of Bethel Presbyterian church, followed by interment in the Bethel cemetery.  The deceased was before her marriage Miss Nannie Thompson, a daughter of the late Jack Thompson, and is survived by her husband and three young children, also by one sister, Mrs. Frank Erwin, of Steele Creek.  The bereaved husband and children have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in the loss of their wife and mother.
