Epitaph:
THIS MARBLE/Covers the remains of/MARGARET A. SPRINGS/Daughter of Doctr. John Allison/and Grand Daughter of/Col. William Hill./In 1819 She married Henry G. Smith/was left a Widow in 1820,/and so remained Till May 2, 1837/When she married John Springs./After which she lived only 8 weeks./She lived admired and respected./And died much lamented 28 June 1837./In the 44th year of her age./As the wise woman of Tekoah said to King D./"We must needs die and are as water spill on the/ground that cannot be gathered up again."
