Biography

OBITUARY....
Mrs. Hattie Campbell Clinton, 77, of Clover, died Thursday night, April, 2, 1964 in a Gastonia hospital.
She was born September 10, 1886, in York County, SC to the late William Elias and Frances Dulin Campbell. She was a life long member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and the Bethel Community. She was the widow of the late Robert Oscar Clinton and the mother of the late Samuel L. Clinton.
Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday at Bethel Presbyterian Church. Officiating were Rev. Kenneth Newman and Dr. W. H. Bowman. Burial followed in the church cemetery.  Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Survivors included two sons, R. O. Clinton and Howard L. Clinton, both of Clover; five daughters, Mrs. Leland S. Burns, Mrs. Wright Sims and Mrs. William S. Dickson, Jr., all of Clover;  Mrs. Richard Smith and Mrs. Wade Gantt, both of Rock Hill, SC; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
