Marble lawn-style marker stands instead of being flush with the ground. A marble die on base with inscription "DICKSON" serves as the headstone for this family plot.
Biography

OBITUARY:
William Smith Dickson, Jr., age 72, of Clover, South Carolina, died June 9, 1997, at Lakeview Living Center, Pineville, North Carolina.
He was a native of York County, South Carolina, born on November 22, 1924, to the late William Smith Dickson, Sr. and Mattie Mullinax Dickson.
He retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing, an US Army Veteran of World War II, a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, South Carolina and a former Deacon. William was a former member and former President of the Clover Optimist Club, a Mason of Alpine Lodge No. 208 and coached Little League baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriette C. Clinton Dickson.
He was survived by his second wife, Mary Lee Hucks Dickson, a son, William Smith (Smithy) Dickson, III, three stepsons, a sister and eleven grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, South Carolina, with Rev. Jim Moss officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
