Robert Clifton Love, Sr., 78, of Clover, SC, died January 21, 2005 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia, NC.
Mr. Love was born January 2, 1927 to the late Bishop Ross Love, Jr. and Adelaide Harper Love and was a native of York County, SC. Mr. Love retired from Boyd Tire and Appliance, Clover, SC after 38 years. He served in the SC National Guard and was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and an Elder and at the time of his death was Elder Emeritus. He was also a Trustee.
Funeral service was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC January 23, 2005 with Rev. A. Gess and Mr. Michael D. Lee officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Barnett Love; three sons, Robert C. Love, Jr. and Daniel B. Love, both of Clover, and Thomas C. Love of Rock Hill; his daughter, Beth L. Wyatt of Clover; two brothers, Jim Love, Sr. of Clover and Bill Love of York; his sister, Betty Love of Clover; and nine grandchildren.
