Description:
Soapstone tablet for Joseph and Rebecca McKenzie. In front of the tablet is a granite plaque marker flush with the ground on which is mounted a commemorative bronze plaque by the DAR. The plaque has the following inscription: "JOSEPH McKENSIE/REVOLUTIONARY SOLDIER/1738 [DAR insignia] 1821/PLACED BY DESCENDANTS/SPONSORED BY:/KINGS MOUNTAIN CHAPTER DAR, YORK, SC"
