Biography

OBITUARY....
Dr. Thomas Newton Dulin, 81, died March 7, 1952 after a few years of failing health.  He was born July 12, 1870 in the Bethel Community of York County, SC. to the late John and Mary Jane McCullough Dulin.
Dr. Dulin studied at the College of Medicine, Atlanta, GA  and practiced medicine in the Bethel Community for 52 years..He served two terms in the State Legislature. He was member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Clover, SC and served as an Elder for 52 years and during this time was the Clerk of the Session for 15 years.
Dr. Dulin was first married to Mary Lillian Stanton who died in 1917. Of this union they had one son, James Haskell Dulin, and one daughter, Annie Lavene Dulin, both of whom survive and also two grandchildren, who survive. He was preceded in death by four other children, Mary Emily Dulin Barnett, Thomas Glenn Dulin, Sr., Dorothy Stanton Dulin and Evan Arrowood Dulin. He was later married to Elizabeth (Bessie)  Louise Garrison, who died in 1947.
Funeral service was held at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Revs. Dr. Tilden Scherer and J. H. Johnson officiating. Burial was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
