Sacred/to the memory of/ANDREW KERR/Who was born Feb. 23rd/1755 in Mecklinburgh/N. Carolina/Came to S.C. 1764/Bour the burden through/the revolutionary/struggle - and died/June 18th, 1842
Description:
Marble monument. The Kerr family erected this monument in 1995 because the original gravestone was damaged beyond repair. The east side (back) of the monument bears the following: "The original tombstone of/this Revolutionary War/Veteran being damaged/beyond repair in 1995,/his Kerr Family erected/this replacement marker/including so much of the/original inscription as/then possible to verify".
